Kangaroos Like to Hop
This is one of two children's songs given to Roy and Val Bailey for their 1968 LP, Oats & Beans & Kangaroos (the other being "Why Does It Have To Be Me?"). Leon has said that the two songs were written by infants Talya and Daniele, but presumably he means they were developed from remarks the children made. This one was composed for three-year-old Talya, and Leon would later record his own version of it, as well as its partner song. He also made a couple of re-recordings in the 1990s for children's cassette projects.
