A View From the One-night Stands
Another of Leon's 1960s songs which never made it to vinyl, "A View From the One-night Stands" is about travelling the folk hall circuit, moving from town to town and playing in a succession of run-down venues in drab places.
"This is light-hearted (ho! ho!) impression of travelling round the folk clubs of England. I enjoy singing at folk clubs (most of them). The audiences are alive (most of them) which is more than can be said of the towns. But somebody really ought to launch a campaign to improve pub lavatories." - LR (Look Here (songbook), 1968)
