Can Anyone Tell Me That?
A children's song written for Inter-Action's Dogg's Troupe in the early 1970s. It was published as sheet music, but never recorded, until Roy Bailey released a copy thirty years on. The verse consists of a child asking all sorts of questions, such as, "How do the bubbles get in the soap?", but finding the grown-ups are just too preoccupied to respond. Leon has referred to the song as "Too Busy to Answer", indicating that might have been a provisional title.
"'Too Busy to Answer' is from a small opera for small children and is a true song." - LR (That's Not The Way It's Got To Be (songbook), 1974)
