All You Need
A very funny song in which Leon's romancing leads to disaster at every turn. There's a hint of sarcasm in the title and lyric, reminding us of "Flower Power = Bread" and its scornful take on "All You Need Is Love". In this new song, Leon crams the lines with words until they are overflowing, emphasising the clumsy nature of his romantic overtures, and tripping himself up on every other line, before realising that what he actually needs isn't love, but insect repellent, a bottle of embrocation and a shit-proof umbrella.
The song was first seen in sheet music form, but only came to life in a recorded performance before an amused audience in 1981.
