This song harks back to the relationship strifes on Love Loneliness Laundry, with Leon giving his side of a typical domestic dispute. The song is light though, with an ironic treatment of the row, which is petty, and Leon throws in witty moments such as a sub-dispute over who threw the first plate. The song opens the LP for which it provides a title track (and the line about crockery hurling inspired the LP sleeve).
