I'm Going Where the Suits Will Shine my Shoes
Melodically reminiscent of "Song of the Olive Tree", this number has a rather different subject matter, detailing three ordinary characters, each downtrodden or resigned to their fate (one of whom is a soldier serving in Afghanistan). The song title is their escape route, a sort of trip into unreality as the only means of liberating themselves to a place where the affairs of the world have been turned upside down.
In the early recording, the characters are vocalised by Leon, Roy Bailey and Janet Russell, with Robb Johnson pitching in on slide guitar. The re-make features the same line-up, but was recorded at a different studio
