Paris In The Rain
A miniature portrait of a French woman, drinking champagne alone in a Paris restaurant. Initially depressed, an old song awakens a spark in her and as she throws off the shackles of a relationship she finds her freedom. In the 2016 recording, Liz Mansfield sings (appropriately, considering the character is female) but the music consists wholly of Fiz Shapur's piano, meaning Leon sits this one out. (It is, in fact, the first of two piano ballads on the album.)
"My attempt at an English French-style chanson." - LR (Where Are The Barricades? sleevenotes)

- Where Are The Barricades? The track is mis-titled in the booklet, as "Paris in the Spring". Leon does not perform on the track.
