THEY COME LIKE ARMIES
This song, protesting the fracking industry, was apparently written for the political choir, Raised Voices, most likely in 2014. The lyric is credited to Leon and Earl Pickens, but in truth the latter merely contributed to something which is, to all intents and purposes, a Leon composition.
The song is clearly based musically and lyrically on "Who Reaps The Profits? Who Pays The Price?", with which the subject matter resonates. (The song contains, in verse 3, the line, "Ask who will profit? Who pay the price?".)
No recording was made available until 2017, when Ian Saville uploaded footage of Leon performing the song privately, to his YouTube channel. A further such recording has since been made.
