Following Love Loneliness Laundry, this new Rosselson-Bailey LP was made with essentially the same team of studio performers, with Martin Carthy again producing. It was recorded in May 1979, at London’s Riverside Studios, and employs a title which corresponds to a line in the song, "Somebody's Stolen the End of My Dream" - not yet released, and possibly written later.
In the style of the earlier That’s Not The Way It’s Got To Be, Roy Bailey handles vocals on a couple of non-Rosselson compositions, while Leon himself sets a song by Gerrard Winstanley to his own music in “The Diggers’ Song”. The rest of the set is all composed by Leon, with a couple of choice oldies included, and the album closes this period of close collaboration between Leon and Roy.
