This CD was recorded at Running Frog Studios is Windsor in
June 1999 – all that is, apart from “You Noble Diggers All”, which was taken
directly from the earlier album, If I Knew Who The Enemy Was (where it
went by the name, “The Diggers’ Song”). There is also a re-make here: “Sun”. There is a curious sense on this album, particularly in the opening and closing songs, that this might be Leon's last. Thankfully that proved not to be the case, although it would be almost a decade before he presented another whole, new album.
Fiz Shapur, Martin Carthy and Liz Mansfield all contribute to the CD, as does Robb Johnson, with whom Leon would collaborate extensively in years to come.
This CD also appeared in America, on the Gadfly Records label.
Also released in the UK on cassette.
